Following a brief run earlier this year, this cartography software collection has returned with an encore available through early December. Described as an extensive collection of mapping tools created by a specialized software company throughout their history, the complete package carries a value of over $1,300. Additionally, there exist multiple package options available here.
The big draw is definitely a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard cartography program which enables users to generate various types including epic fantasy landscapes, smaller regional maps, city maps, and most notably, tactical combat environments.
A regional fantasy map created using the CC3+ software platform.
The cheapest bundle tier, starting at just one dollar, features merely four from the thirty-nine available products: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Castle Source Maps, and Source Maps: Cities!. This one's only for cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer fresh fantasy design elements for overworld maps, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, more than two dozen aerial castle designs including hundreds of map markers, eight fully mapped cities, and more than 70 urban floorplans.
The eight-product collection for at least $15 offers enhanced value by adding in a lifetime CC3+ license, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. The Annual represents the yearly bundle from the company's ongoing subscription program which includes multiple CC3+ enhancements including map packs and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you display cities with an extra dimension with isometric views from multiple angles. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome comprises 760 pages suitable for novices and experts, full of tips and tutorials covering cartography techniques.
Starting at thirty dollars, the 39-item bundle includes all the following:
Every volume from the Annual series are included here, alongside a slew of other resource and asset packs enabling creators to design entire planets or galaxies, or just go all-in on traditional fantasy world-building: combat arenas, underground complexes, cities, and continents in multiple viewpoints. Users can also create character illustrations. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the full bundle is so worth it, particularly for mappers with temporary CC3+ access and want to upgrade to lifetime. However, it's clearly an even better deal for map-making newbies since it includes the beginners' tutorials to facilitate learning. The one caveat here though the purchase is available across platforms, the applications only function with Windows systems.
As with other Humble Bundles, a portion of each sale goes to benefit a nonprofit. For this one, that's Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb dedicated to enhancing children's welfare globally through education, health care, and emergency relief. The Bundle Filters option is toward the top of the page, though users may also choose their donation amount in the right-hand section. Additionally available is an "Adjust Donation" drop-down immediately below, enabling adjustment of how much of your donation allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
